Apartamentos Mediterraneo Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Apartamentos Mediterraneo, you immediately get that authentic Spanish coastal vibe — it’s not trying to be something it isn’t, which I honestly appreciate. This three-star property sits right in the thick of things in Marbella, and you can feel the energy of the old town buzzing around you. The building has that classic Mediterranean charm without any pretense, and there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on location and comfort rather than flashy amenities. You know what really struck me? How many guests I saw who clearly weren’t first-timers — always a good sign.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about location in Marbella — you’re either in the heart of it or you’re taking taxis everywhere. These apartments nail it perfectly, sitting right in the real center where locals actually hang out, not just the touristy beachfront strip. You can walk to the old town’s narrow streets in literally two minutes, hit the beach when you want some sun, and — this is key — find actual Spanish restaurant where residents eat, not just tourist traps. I mean, couples are rating this location a 9.2, and after spending time here, I totally get why. The morning coffee run becomes this lovely little ritual through cobblestone streets.
The Apartment Experience
What you’re getting here is a proper apartment setup, which changes everything about how you experience Marbella. Each unit has its own kitchen, so you can grab fresh ingredients from the local market and actually cook if you want to — or just store your sangria and Spanish cheese properly. The room layouts feel lived-in rather than hotel-sterile, with enough space to spread out your stuff without tripping over suitcases. Honestly, it’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re staying in someone’s well-maintained place rather than a corporate box.
The Neighborhood Rhythm
Living here for a few days, you start to pick up on the local rhythm — morning market runs, afternoon siestas, evening paseos through the old quarter. The building sits where residential Marbella meets the historic center, so you get real Spanish life mixed with just enough tourist energy to keep things interesting. There’s a little plaza nearby where locals gather in the evenings, and you’ll find yourself naturally falling into that Mediterranean pace. The beach is close enough for spontaneous afternoon swims, but you’re not dealing with constant beachfront crowds and noise.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
The repeat guest thing makes total sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s that rare combination of prime location, reasonable prices, and genuine local flavor that’s getting harder to find in Marbella. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or fancy spas, but you are getting something arguably more valuable: a real base in one of Spain’s most sought-after destinations. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about having your own little Spanish apartment to retreat to after days of exploring. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re living in Marbella rather than just visiting it.

I liked pretty much everything – the view, the location, facilities, kitchen well equipped for cooking, size of the apt and the balcony!
Parking – the tiny street in front of the building is free to park on. Otherwise you go to the paid parking nearby. We were lucky to get a free spot every day during our stay. Kitchen was convenient for cooking and there's an extra bed. WiFi was good. AC working but was not needed since it was quite windy up there.Alex from Ireland (7/10)

Excellent location mid-way between the fishing and leisure ports.
Terrace looking down on the paseo, the beach and out to sea.
Only a short stroll to the old town.
