Bermeja Village Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Bermeja Village on the narrow cobblestone street, you immediately know you’ve found something special. This three-star property sits right in the maze of whitewashed buildings that make up Marbella’s old town, and honestly, the location couldn’t be more perfect. The building itself has that authentic Andalusian charm — you know, the kind of place that feels like it’s been part of the neighborhood forever rather than some modern hotel chain that was dropped in.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about Calle Bermeja — you’re literally in the heart of everything, but it’s not one of those crazy busy tourist streets where you can’t even walk. The famous Orange Square is just a two-minute stroll away, and you can reach the beach in about ten minutes on foot. What really impressed me is how the couples I met there were absolutely raving about the area — apparently they rate it 9.6 out of 10, which makes total sense when you experience it yourself. You’ve got authentic tapas bars tucked into every corner, local shops that aren’t just selling tourist junk, and that genuine old-town atmosphere that’s getting harder to find in coastal Spain.
The Property Experience
The hotel has this intimate village feel that the name suggests — it’s not trying to be something it’s not. My room was clean and comfortable, with traditional Spanish tiles and wooden shutters that actually work (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case). The staff genuinely knows the area and can point you toward the best local spots, which is worth its weight in gold when you’re trying to avoid the tourist traps. I mean, they directed me to this tiny family-run restaurant around the corner that I never would have found otherwise.
What Sets It Apart
You know what really struck me? This place gets a location score of 9.6, and after spending time there, I totally understand why. It’s that sweet spot where you’re surrounded by authentic Marbella culture but still have easy access to everything you want to see and do. The old town can be tricky to navigate with luggage, but once you’re settled in, you realize you barely need to go anywhere else — everything from morning coffee to late-night drinks is within a few minutes’ walk. The building itself feels like part of the neighborhood fabric rather than some isolated hotel bubble.
Why Guests Love It
With an 8.6 rating, Bermeja Village clearly hits the mark for people who want authentic Marbella without breaking the bank. It’s especially popular with couples, and I can see why — there’s something romantic about wandering these old streets and coming back to a place that feels like your own little corner of Spain. The value proposition is solid too — you’re getting prime real estate in one of the most desirable parts of the Costa del Sol, but at three-star prices. If you want to experience the real Marbella old town rather than just visit it, this is your spot.

Reviews of Bermeja Village

Great location with great service! By walk, 3mins from the Plaza de las Naranjas, 10mins from the beach, and 20mins from the main bus station. Well equipped accommodation, I was backpacking and I was happy that I could finally wash and iron my clothes. Another good thing, I could be easily supported via WhatsApp chat at any part of the day! Thanks for the experience!

The appartment was in a very good condition, very clean. But it had everything I needed. Even a washing machine… The studio flat is a small place, but Bermeja Village also has bigger appartments in the same building. The manager of the place was always reachable by whats app and always kind and helpful. I can highly recommend Bermeja Village for holidays in Marbella.
