Step outside and you’re surrounded by those narrow cobblestone streets that make this part of town so special. The famous Orange Square is just a two-minute walk, and honestly, you’ll find yourself wandering these streets at all hours because there’s always something happening. What I love is that you get all the charm of the historic center without the noise — the plaza location actually feels peaceful, especially in the evenings when the day-trippers head back to their resorts.

The Room Experience

Each room feels like it was designed individually rather than stamped out of some corporate mold. The attention to detail is what gets you — hand-painted tiles, carefully chosen antiques, and windows that actually open to let in that Mediterranean breeze. My room had this gorgeous view of the plaza, and I found myself just sitting by the window with morning coffee watching the town wake up. The bathrooms are particularly well done, with those deep soaking tubs that you’ll actually want to use after a day of exploring the coast.

Breakfast & Dining

The breakfast setup here is refreshingly unpretentious for a Relais & Châteaux property. They do both continental and buffet options, but what makes it special is the quality of everything — the local jamón, perfectly ripe tomatoes for pan con tomate, and coffee that’s actually strong enough to wake you up. You can eat in the courtyard when weather permits, which is most of the year honestly. The staff seems to remember how you like your coffee after just a day or two, which is one of those small touches that makes a difference.

Why Guests Love It

This place works because it manages to be sophisticated without being stuffy — something that’s surprisingly rare in this part of Spain. Couples especially seem drawn to the romantic atmosphere (and that 9.7 location rating makes perfect sense when you’re here). You’re close enough to walk to beaches, shops, and restaurants, but far enough from the party scene that you can actually sleep. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because leaving feels like abandoning a perfect little secret.

  Your are greeted with a glass of cava on check. Staff are friendly and efficient. Place is spotless. Beautiful square outside front entrance.

  We loved everything about this hotel. The warm welcome at the reception including a lovely glass of cava, the room was spacious and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. As we were out of season some of the areas were not in use such as the outside patio or rooftop bar but this didn't detract at all from our enjoyment. The hotel is in an excellent location being in the old town with plenty to see and do and across the main road from the beach but still at night was quiet(this may have been due to the time of year however). We had dinner in the restaurant which was superb, the food was delicious and the staff knowledgeable and professional. All in all we had an extremely pleasant stay, would definitely recommend it and will return no doubt.
