When I first pulled up to Villa Tortuga, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a three-star property tucked away in the Lindasol urbanization. But you know what? The villa sits quietly on Calle Cerro, and there’s something refreshingly authentic about its unpretentious facade — no flashy entrance or marble lobbies, just a genuine Spanish villa that feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a commercial hotel. The fact that I could park right on-site without worrying about fees or availability immediately put me at ease.

Location & Getting Around

The Lindasol area is one of those neighborhoods in Marbella that locals know but tourists often miss — and that’s actually part of its charm. You’re close enough to the action but far enough away to escape the crowds that swarm the main tourist strips. I mean, you can reach the coast in minutes, but you’re also perfectly positioned for those morning golf rounds (there are several courses within a short drive). The residential setting means you get a real taste of how people actually live here, not just the resort version of Spain that most visitors see.

The Space & Comfort

My room had that lived-in comfort that makes you want to extend your stay. Nothing overly fancy, but everything worked perfectly and felt thoughtfully arranged. The Spanish tiles and traditional touches reminded me I was somewhere with character, not in some generic chain hotel. What really impressed me was how quiet everything was at night — being in a residential area means you actually get proper sleep instead of dealing with party noise from the street. The space felt generous too, with enough room to spread out and actually relax.

If you’re into golf, you’ll appreciate having multiple courses within easy reach — I played at a couple during my stay and the variety was impressive. The coast offers decent fishing spots if that’s your thing, and I saw plenty of windsurfing action on the breezier days. But honestly, sometimes the best part was just wandering the neighborhood and discovering little local bars and shops that don’t make it into guidebooks. There’s a rhythm to this area that you only pick up on if you stay a few days.

  lots of different spaces to chill, very spacious, well equipped kitchen, Tonni and the on site staff very friendly, lovely clean bathrooms with soap and shower gel provided. older reviews say no parasol but there is one and 10 sunbeds and also shady parts of the garden. really a wonderful experience

  Excellent villa with fantastic facilities. Everything you need is there. The grounds and view are absolutely beautiful. The rooms are all nice and the kitchen is well equipped. The outside areas and inside areas are lovely to sit in as a group. It has plenty of ubers/cabify around for access to Marbella

  The villa was very well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had what we needed and more and the pool was beautiful. Views were stunning and any issues we had were very quickly resolved by the very helpful and attentive staff.

  The views from the pool were fantastic! Loved the rustic Spanish look of the property along with the size and space. I was lucky enough to have the master suite which was huge and had a wonderful terrace with mountain and sea views.

  This is a lovely large villa, so spacious and comfortable for a large family or a group. The pool is just perfect and the outdoor seating areas are exceptional. The Villa is very well equipped and there wasn’t anything we didn’t have. We would definitely recommend this villa!
